Perfect Pitch props will give you about 20% more thrust in forward and even more in reverse. And it won't cost $8,000.00 because you can use the motor you've got.
If you have re-powered and haven't seen the promised performance improvements, we can help. Like most sailors, your motor is probably struggling with an undersized and / or incorrectly pitched prop.
SIZE MATTERS
We estimate that 80% of sailboats in the US have undersized props. For example, Yanmar recommends a 16 inch 2 bladed prop for the 2GM20, but most US boats have to run with a 15" prop or smaller. This results in 20-30% loss of thrust. You don't need a bigger motor; you need a bigger prop.
BOLT-ON SOLUTIONS
If you don't have room for one of our standard props, we have another bolt-on solution: the Extendo. For boats with prop shafts on a strut, the Extendo will allow you to swing a prop with two more inches in diameter. The result will be 30% more power in forward and more control in reverse.
Our Extendo model is particularly useful for vessels which have replaced Atomic 4 direct drives with modern diesels. Most boats with Atomic 4's only have room for a 12-13 inch prop, but the Extendo hub makes it possible to use a larger prop with the new engine.
For boats with apertures, our standard model, with its modern airfoil blade shapes and Flex Pitch Technology is still better than any bronze prop.
CORRECT PITCH AND DIAMETER ON THE FIRST TRY - GUARANTEED
We focus exclusively on props for sailboats under 40'. We've already tested on the water many boat and motor combinations, so we know the best prop for your application. And we guarantee you'll be satisfied, or your money back.
FLEX PITCH = PERFECT PITCH
Urethane props have a major advantage in that they flex more than metal. This means you get a range of pitches all in one prop. You'll be able to cruise quietly in calms (hull speed at 2200 RPM), go to maximum thrust when you need it, AND have great handling in reverse.
MODERN BLADE SHAPE
Cast bronze blades have a curved top and a flat bottom. This partly explains why many sailboats motor passibly in forward, but don't back down well.
We updated the PerfectPitch blade with an improved aerofoil shape, rounding them on both sides. These blade shape improvements alone account for dramatic performance increases, particularly in reverse

SAILORS LOVE OUR PROPS
Here's what sailors have to say about Perfect Pitch Propellers:
"It's so good in reverse, I backed up
around the harbor for 20 minutes. It's fun."
-- Islander 33 / Universal Atomic 4
"CDI is much better going ahead in wind
and waves."
--C & C 27 / Universal Atomic 4
"No comparison. 5.5 knots old vs 7.2 knots
Perfect Pitch....I can now back down @ 4.5 with control. We did this for ¼
mile."
-- Jim Brown Trimaran / Yanmar 18 HP (2.62:1)
"Requires less power for maneuvering.
It's hard to believe prop of the same size can make such a big difference."
-- Catalina 34 / Universal 21 HP (2:1)
"Cavitation and prop noise is a chronic
problem with Corvettes and the CDI prop seems to have finally fixed it."
-- C & C Corvette 31 / Universal Atomic 4
"Super! No contest! This should have been
my first choice."
-- Nor-Sea 27 / Yanmar 2Gm 20
